To engage Middle Years Programme (MYP) students with challenging lessons and opportunities to think critically and demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways, focusing on key concepts and reflections based on their learning experience.
To give MYP students the opportunities to participate in activities that involve visual and performing arts, technology, career / real-world connections, community service, project-based learning, and multicultural experiences.

IB learners strive to be inquirers, thinkers, communicators, and risk-takers. IB learners are described as knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, caring, balanced and reflective. The goal of Borel Middle School is to implement the International Baccalaureate philosophy through offered programs and curriculum delivery.
