Don't miss these Parent/Guardian Information Nights, designed to help families of 8th grade students learn about the wonderful high schools in the San Mateo Union High School District.

Highlights:

  • Learn about academic programs, extracurricular clubs and activities.
  • Meet the staff who will help to guide your soon-to-be 9th Grader.
  • Learn important pre-enrollment and registration dates.

Important Dates:

November 7, 2022: Priority 1 Enrollment begins. The 2023-2024 Online Enrollment form becomes available for parents to complete.  Intra-District & Sibling Transfer requests can be submitted. Once Student Services has reviewed your submission, you will receive a confirmation email that your enrollment has been verified and your student has been placed. Appointments will be available based on the information provided on the enrollment form. If more information is needed, you will be contacted by Student Services staff.

Walk-ins are welcome, but calling or emailing to make an appointment is highly recommended.

February 10, 2023: Last day of Priority 1 Enrollment and last day to apply for Intra-District Transfer or Sibling Transfer *if applicable

February 2023: Lottery drawing for all Intra-District Transfer requests

End of June 2023: Data Confirmation (all parents/guardians are required to update emergency contacts, health, and mandated notification.)

What is the Priority 1 Enrollment Window?

The Priority 1 Enrollment Window opens at 8:30 a.m. on November 7, 2022 and closes 11:59 p.m. on February 10, 2023.
Students who have completed the residency verification and online enrollment form during the Priority 1 Enrollment Window are eligible to:

  • Receive priority assignment to their school of residence

  • Apply for a Sibling Transfer to another school within the District

  • Apply for an Intra-District Transfer to a non-resident school within the District

Complete the Online Enrollment form. Once Student Services has reviewed your submission, you will receive a confirmation email that your enrollment has been verified and your student has been placed.
